Summary: This unit is a very powerful, multi featured electronic device. It was more than I could comphrehend. I wanted it to stream internet audio(Sirius XM-Southern Gospel) to remote speakers. I use it now to power to old analog speakers in my living room.
Summary: If your looking for a solid receiver for a fair value this is the one. The multi-zone feature really allows you to enjoy your music in 2 different zones. The other feature I really like is the ability for the receiver to be controlled by an iPhone.
Summary: This is the 2nd one I have installed in my house for surround sound. I have thhis one installed with a 70 inch 480hz Sharp TV using Polk speakers all around. very easy set up, Only reason i did not give it 5 stars is I would have liked to have an instruction book inclosed with the receiver
Summary: Simply put, I am impressed with the sound quality, being able to use airplay, and plug in my phone. It includes a mic for setting up the speakers, but I preferred doing it manually. Was simple to do. The setup was simple in routing all the HDMI cables through the receiver.
Summary: So I purchased this because I wanted to connect my cable box and BluRay player to my TV with HDMI Switching. I initially bought the Sony STN-1030 and its switching capabilities were terrible (see my review under that product).
Pioneer VSX-822-K OK but with room for improvement, and there are better options in that price range

Summary: I wanted a NETWORK receiver, controllable from my iPhone and with AirPlay, to play music in my living room replacing a PIONEER VSX-D912K which still works fine, but it is from the pre-ETHERNET, pre-AIRPLAY, pre-HDMI era, and I evaluated several receivers: PIONEER VSX-822K, DENON AVR-1613, ONKYO...
Summary: I was not able to test any features, as my unit did not provide sound. I chose to return the unit, and decided against purchasing another. In regard to the audio out con from above, there is a zone2 audio out that I assume could be used for this function, but I was unable to test, as I was not able...
Pros: iPod / ipad interface, AirPlay support, Several HDMI ins
Cons: Front HDMI, USB, and ipod interface is behind a door that must be removed. Once the door is removed, that door could become lost, and the flat black color behind the door does not match the glossy black of the front of the unit. No Analog audio-out for use with other equipment, such as wireless a...
Summary: This replaces my 5 yr old Sony- while not the top of the line the multi HDMIs inputs was welcomed. The setup was easy and the cross channel stereo quality very high. The remote is average. Not back lit. Documentation was complete but using adobe search is a necessity.
