My receiver had stopped working a number of times, the power button will flash indicating it must be serviced. Most annoying thing was after having to dismantle everything taking to the the repair shop, and their initial check showed the same thing, It was a week or so before the repairman could look at it, he calls back and says there was nothing...
Summary: My Pioneer Elite SC-37 completely died and only shines the blinking blue light of death after only 4 years. The technician said that it could possibly be fixed, but buying a new receiver would be much cheaper. This is my second Pioneer Elite receiver that died. The SC-37 was a replacement from Pioneer for my earlier top-of-the-line Elite SC-7 receiver that died after only one year. The authorized repair shop could not determine the problem after keeping it for 4 months.

Summary: I have owned one of these for a couple of years now. I was new to all the terminology, so I was fooled by the marketing on the box. The box says DLNA certified, but there is no App or other way to use that feature. The remote is incredibly complicated and I find it difficult to use. But the last straw for me was when I found out that all the sound signal is not amplified.
Summary: Yep ... I bought this at Crawford's Superstore, only to find out 23 months later that's it's not covered by anyone's warranty. First guess repair is $600 for the amp. While kicking myself for being taken, I take some comfort in knowing I will never buy anything else from that vendor, and Pioneer won't be selling me anything else from anywhere. If it was possible to select zero stars, that would have been my choice.
Summary: It is now 1 year and 5 months since I purchased the Pioneer SC-37 and the unit has stopped working. Upon calling Pioneer, I was told that since the unit was purchased online, and not in an "authorized" store, there is no warranty. This is unbelievably bad customer service; particularly for a $1,300 purchase that breaks after less than 18 months' service. I rate this product, and more particularly Pioneer electronics, Zero Stars.
Summary: Unit went out after 1 year of service. Repair cost estimated at 670 dollars. Pioneer refused to cover it because it was purchased on Amazon. These receivers seem like dinosaurs in this age of miniaturization. Learned a hard lesson, but will not buy another Pioneer product ever again!
Summary: After only 6 months this receiver started shutting off every 10 minutes. When I called Pioneer, they were very rude and sent me off on my own to a place to get it serviced. All shipping cost are at my expense as well... There is only one repair shop near me and the eta is over 3 weeks. There was no option to get a replacement RMA... I am shocked as this is their "flagship" receiver and they do not stand behind it.

I CAN'T FIND IT LOCALLY SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO??? ANNOYS THE YOU KNOW WHAT OUT OF A PERSON. OH, I KNOW.
