Summary: Didn't have any problems until I got the blue ipod/iphone flashing after power on symptom. Called nearest authorized Pioneer/Elite repair shop which is 300mi away. Drove 300mi to authorized Pioneer/Elite repair shop only to be told they don't repair this model. Why? The owner said it is too expensive, I wouldn't like the price and he couldn't guarantee one board would fix it nor did he know estimated time to obtain new board.
Summary: waste of money. it is soo expensive, but does not give anything special. You can use the remote if you misplace your dumbbells for a workout. that helps but still feels like a bad decision when I remember buying one of these.
Summary: Literally on month after the warrenty expired the HDCP error showed up and the screen goes black. I called pioneer and did a reset of the system. Two days later the same thing happened. Apparrently this is a common thing on this model after reading some of the forums. Other than that It was a five star rating all the way. Now I have to way the option of paying the money to get it fixed or buying a new one. Mad as @#$%!!
Summary: One star to get you to read about the warranty info. AGAIN FOR THOSE THAT ARE REEEAAADINGLY CHALLENGED ----The SC-35 gets 5 stars, the one star here is to get your attention so you can make an informed choice. If you want a Pioneer Elite warranty and not an after market or 2nd party warranty, buy Elite products from a brick and mortar store. FIVE stars for the product, it is an excellent AVR.
