Summary: Didn't have any problems until I got the blue ipod/iphone flashing after power on symptom. Called nearest authorized Pioneer/Elite repair shop which is 300mi away. Drove 300mi to authorized Pioneer/Elite repair shop only to be told they don't repair this model. Why? The owner said it is too expensive, I wouldn't like the price and he couldn't guarantee one board would fix it nor did he know estimated time to obtain new board.
Summary: ive owned nothing but pioneer elite for over 25 years (im getting old!!!) this is by far the best one yet.audio and video are beyond reference level, its very pretty too!!! absolute 5 star rating.
Summary: waste of money. it is soo expensive, but does not give anything special. You can use the remote if you misplace your dumbbells for a workout. that helps but still feels like a bad decision when I remember buying one of these.
Summary: Literally on month after the warrenty expired the HDCP error showed up and the screen goes black. I called pioneer and did a reset of the system. Two days later the same thing happened. Apparrently this is a common thing on this model after reading some of the forums. Other than that It was a five star rating all the way. Now I have to way the option of paying the money to get it fixed or buying a new one. Mad as @#$%!!
Summary: Great receiver and design but the component they use are not reliable. I got the blue ipod/iphone flashing after power on symptom. Took it to a repair shop and the board cost $400+. Going to try Yamaha.
Summary: I purchased this receiver to replace Marantz SR-7002 in my home theater system. The receiver as description by seller. This is very nice receiver with smart software and strong with ICE power technology. The cinema effect is very dynamic and quite good in music stereo performance. I was satisfied with this equipment.
Summary: Had onkyo 605 for a while and this was a very nice upgrade. Compared it with denon and marantz side by side and pioneer was a clear winner from the looks stand point and amp power. Unless you are going to spend 3k on a receiver with toroidal power supply i think ICE power in pioneer is the clear winner.
Summary: After 9 months, this receiver is having problems with the amp board (or something like that). My entire video/sound system is managed by this unit. Suddenly, while watching TV or a movie, the sound would spike to unbearable highs. The only way to stop this is to press the mute button twice and then the sound returns to normal...until the next event. This unit carries a two year warranty so they are going to repair or replace it.
