  • Summary: Just replaced my 14 year ADCOM preamp with this unit and It's made a huge improvement regarding the sound coming form my Eminent Technology LFT-8 loud speakers. Voices are exceptionally clear, string instruments are silky without being forward (harsh), the midrange is robust and the imaging, front to back and left to right is excellent. Also have a phono input for both MM and MC cartridges, you select the type by position a switch in the back of the preamp.

Very pleased with this product

  • Summary: Very pleased with this product. Rated four stars only because of minor changes that would make it perfect. It would be nice if the sub level control could be adjusted from the remote. I think that could be worked in at this price point. Probably outside the price point, it would be nice to try XLR with this preamp. Otherwise, flawless. Falling in love with this thing.

Excellent amp for the price

  • Summary: This is a fantastic preamp for the price. It has gotten great reviews on audiophile sites and I can give it an excellent review. This preamp replaced an old Carver C-11 and the difference in sound was nothing short of fantastic. It has a dedicated subwoofer output and sub EQ. Great Parasound quality and sound.

A lot of Pre-amp for your money...

9 November 2013
  • Summary: The Parasound 2100 is a very solid unit, Use this in a 2.2 music system, with a pair of Outlaw 2200 mono amplifiers, a pair of Magnepan MMG speakers ,a pair of SVS PB1000 subwoofers, the total cost was only 2700!!! For a complete 2.2 system with a preamp and pair of mono blocks, its hard to beat, 2100 works flawlessly, and with mono blocks you eliminate cross talk and get much better separation.

Very nice preamp at a reasonable price

  • Summary: Really like this preamp. I replaced my old Carver with another preamp that shall remain nameless and was very disappointed. I just happened to see some reviews on the Parasound and decided to take a chance. This one is far superior to the last one. It has tone and balance controls and plays MP3s very nicely from my iPOD and Samsung Galaxy S4. Running it with a Carver power amp, Paradigm sub and Carver Amazing Loudspeakers and a B&O turntable with an ancient MC cartridge.

Great sound at a great price

  • Summary: This is a terrific preamp. Solid bass, good midrange, clear treble, and a super wide soundstage. This is a far better preamp than you could ever get from using the pre-outs on a surround sound receiver. I am using it with a Parasound 2125 power amp, Musical Fidelity V-DAC, and a pair of KEF Q300 bookshelf speakers.

Parasound 2100 preamp

Roland Carpenter, Amazon
13 October 2013
  • Summary: This Parasound classic 2100 preamp was the sound i was listening for. Here are a few reasons ,Dead silent operation , 7 inputs ,pretty good turn table inputs ,multiple outputs full range mains and a split system with a 80hz set hp xover and a adjustable sub woofer lp xover. Bought the Classic 2100 from a pawn shop for $300 new in box , i know what a deal. I put away my Bob Carver preamp ,never thought i would ever do that. My next purchase will be a Parasound amp.

Poor sound

Dj Magic Mike, Amazon
14 May 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this pre-amp a few years ago in attempt to simplify my setup since I had/have no need for video switching. I'm an old-school guy who's running 2/3-channel monoblocks. My previous pre-amp was similar, it was a Marantz AV-600 which is well known for its very high-quality 2/3-channel sound. The best feature being an adjustable gain & cutoff on the sub output.
