is it a sound choice

i have a dmp bd30 bluray disk player a couple of cerwin vega e708 bookshelf speakers and a wharfedale cube sub with built in amp plus a new 40" pano plasma, do you think the sa xr700 is strong enough to drive my system and do you think it would be a sound purchase?
