Bought this receiver in June 2009. In Nov 2009, it started acting up... started taking longer and longer to "warm up" and start functioning, by Dec 2009 it was taking upwards of 4 minutes and occasionally it would just shut down on its own. I use this product for Blue Ray/HD DVD/DVD/MUSIC. This is my final receiver for the next 15 Years. Economy is horrible and Ive owned 7 HTIB and still have 3 of those and a Onkyo 805,806,now 876. Unless companies go out of there way to make the sound any better I don't think so. Blu Rays/HDDVDs get A+++.DVD Audio and SACD get A+++++,DVD's up conversion through the receiver are excellent DVD's are nears HD. Read more
ONKYO 876 ROCKS. I have owned many brands over the years, some very expensive, some not so expensive. However, when it comes it comes to quality and bang for the buck there is no way this system should get anything less then 5 star. I would not trade it for anything currently on the market. ONKYO 876 is top dog in my opinion. I disagree completetly with the REON comment. Unless of course you were unlucky enough to get the first run. Read more

I was hoping to get video out and into a PVR. HDMI Main is hooked up direct to the TV but is it possible to use the component video out to feed the vision into my PVR?
