Summary: just received my onkyo tx sr806 and I purchased the onkyo sks-ht870 speaker system and they sound awesome together so far after playing it for a few hours, im extremely satisfied. I will leave feed back in a few months, its too early.
Summary: While I really liked this receiver for the 3 years I have had it, My Onkyo TX-SR806 started to exhibit the problems so many others have had. My HDMI inputs started going out until I only had 1 left. And it would take 20 minutes before it would work.
Summary: This is the best electronic equipment I have bought ! Though I use this mainly for music and less of movies and only use the front 3 channels, it still fills up the entire room. I have paired this amp with Martin Logan Motion 4s for front left/right and Motion 6 in the center and JBL 250PBK sub...
Summary: I hope this review can be of help to others. I guess I am a dinosaur, but my first concern with a receiver is the sound - after all, the main function of a receiver is the ability to reproduce the audio.
Summary: Took me a while to figure out how to set my BD player to output Dolby T-HD and DTS HD. But I must say even before that, the sound was great and lots of power while controlled and well behaved.
Summary: wow what a rec, I love this rec, excellent sound great pic quality, it took me little while to setup . After I adjust the sub vol and surround volume it was fantastic sound , specialy thxultra, Inthe night time watching movie, sound was great. I loveeeeeeee this rec.
Summary: I got this to replace an old Kenwood HTiB from the pre-HDMI days and was blown away. The options provided are basically overkill. It has more inputs than I'm likely to need, despite being a retrogamer, auto level-matching and excellent sound quality.
Summary: Highly recommended for the budget home theater and music lover! I finally made the switch to full 7.1 (no sub) and there has been no looking back. Watching DVDs mastered in THX with this receiver is a brand new experience compared to my old Sony 5.1 (no offense to Sony - cheap, reliable).
