Summary: Onkyo makes great receivers and this is one of the best. Some newer units have hdmi issues but this one doesn't. I use it for audio only I ran a hdmi splitter from my cable box to the tv and to my receiver.

Summary: I bought this receiver from someone who used it only on Saturdays with his dedicated theater and it was in mint condition with remote, manual box you name it. When I bought it the receiver was already 6 years old. This receiver is a beast and sounds really great.

Summary: Bought this and it has been wonderful. Full rich deep sound makes for the perfect home theater experience rattle the walls and windows bass. 3 HDMI inputs and I use them all. Gives a full 7.1 channel hookup that can't be beat.
Summary: This whopping 80 pound beast brings everything audio to life. Its old now. I am writing this in 2014. Still sounds great, and is the centerpiece of my home theater. One of my favorite possessions ever. I'll be sad when I eventually replace it. Onkyo was tip top when this one came out.
Summary: This is a great Amp. I have several hi-end amps and this one ranks right up there. The set up is very easy. I'm using it a home office with 47" Panasonic led tv and u-verse cable. Using the 'smart' part of the tv works great with the amp. The Focus surround system of speakers handle the power well.
Summary: Thundering wall shaking output. It works as well as the day it was purchased, several years ago. I've really beaten this thing with some huge audio to huge tower speakers, and it has taken it, without a hitch.
Summary: I bought this receiver to replace a Denon 3801 that I have owned for over 10 years. The Denon still works fine, but I needed a receiver with HDMI capabilities. The Onkyo is a large and heavy unit.
