Summary: This receiver kicked ass.............while it lasted. My initial research showed this receiver to be an outstanding value. About two and a half years later it was a dead value! I first started having issues with the audio just cutting out.
Cons: Mine lasted 2 months past 4 years. I guess I don't use it as much. I also own the tx-sr608 that unit wasn't t so lucky. It stop out around 1 yr and 3 months. Onkyo would fix it but it would cost $55 shipping. That is so lame. It had a similar problem but the video would not pass thru. The 707 did...
Summary: I purchased this amp at a brick and mortar about 2 years ago at a great price. This purchase was based on recommendations at the time and to be honest this was a truly great amp with awesome sound.
While this item worked well, it burnt out after 18 months

Summary: I purchased this item and had it working superbly for over a year and a half. One day, after about 30 minutes of use, the unit clicked off and began to flash its standby light. When I pressed the power button, the unit sparked and I could smell burnt plastic and silicon; it was done for.
Cons: Like so many others, I have ZERO sounds from any input out to my speakers after 21 months of moderate use. For a while, I could get some sound output by doing a reset (DVR + Standby) but then I'd need to re-configure everything until i turned the unit off, no sound. I am posting this here at Newe...
Cons: Very difficult and frustrating to set-up and manage. The manual is nearly useless and the onscreen information is worse. Sirius requires the purchase of a separate Sirius radio -- I think. As with all the features of this receiver, it's difficult to tell.
Great sound but horrible video processor when dealing with 1080p/24 material

Summary: For the audio side of things, the 707 is fantastic. Seriously, it's a superb piece of kit in this regard. However, you can read plenty of reviews about how great it sounds, so I'd like to highlight a problem I have found with the video side of things.
