    While not quite as powerful or heavily featured as some models at this price point, there is no doubt that the TX-SR706 is an accomplished all-rounder.     Introduction At $899, the Onkyo TX-SR706 is Onkyo's least expensive THX certified model and an interesting product within Onkyo's range of receivers. It is the lowest priced receiver in Onkyo's line-up that offers all the features I want in a receiver including HDMI 1.3 inputs, HD audio processing, Audyssey room equalization and pre-amp outputs.     I love this reciever!! I still can't believe I got this thing for [$]!The reciever was a breeze to set up and matched up with my 52" Samsung lcd, Samsung bluray player and Bose sat. speakers perfectly. I bought this to replace my 10 year old Onkyo reciever (which still works fine) I love Onkyo I always thought they gave you alot of bang for your buck, and to get this at your price was a no brainer!! I would highly reconmend both the reciever and B&H. Read more

    I've had pioneer equipment for ever but in the last 3 years have had nothing but them blowing up.I decided to change brands and this system had basically everything I was looking for especially in all stero mode.I have all JBL 2-e50's 2-e90's 2-e100's and a center and with the sub going beyond 8+ decb it kicks yet still has more to give. Reccomend a small cooling fan on top,still havent hit top volume yet it rocks!!!!!!! Read more

    Before buy anything from Onkyo read this small article. I have bought an Onkyo TX SR706 and in less than 10 times of using the appliance broke, yes less than times!!!! Everything was set up in right way accordantly of the manual. The worst part of this story was when I have left the 706 in a dealer to repair and they said to me that ONKYO don't have international warranty. (Brazil) Why not?! Is not ONKYO a worldwide brand?!
