zone 2 clarification

ftz, Amazon
15 December 2008
  • Summary: To the top reviewer. Zone 2 amplifiers in all onkyos are 2 channel stereo amplifiers. just hook up a red white rca cable as well as your digital cables for each device you have connected to the receiver and you will have the joy of independent sources for zone 1 and zone 2.

Excellent buy for the price

B. Michalik, Amazon
3 August 2008
  • Summary: I ordered this with the ONKYO SKS-HT240 Home Theater Speaker Kit. The sound is phenomenal for our home theater, hooked to a Motorola 3416 DVR, Samsung LNT5265F 52" 1080p LCD HDTV and Play Station 3. All devices attached so far produce excellent sound when using HDMI or Optical cable.

Amazon Customer, Amazon

  • Summary: I just received it today, and will be returning it tomorrow. Here's what I found: 1) On my unit, switching channels, pausing a program, or switching unputs caused my TV to lose the HDMI signal for 2-3 seconds.

  • Summary: I recently upgraded to the Onkyo TX-SR674 replacing a 8 year old entry level Harmon Kardon Unit. I felt that the overall features for the price on the 674 could not be beat. Setup was pretty easy.

  • Summary: I purchased this unit for $399 about a week ago after returning a defective Yamaha 2700 which was double the $$.
