Summary: I was able to hook it up by myself ( I am not that great with electronics ,but I followed the manual).I have it already for 7 years and using with my cable DVR , blueray/dvd player, 70 inch HD Sony and my Polk speakers(5.1).Couldn't be happier.I would buy it again.

Summary: I love this receiver. I've been using it for about 6 years without any problems. The setup-mic is fantastic! I've moved a number of times and it always tunes its outputs well for the new room. It's powerful, sounds good and works just like I think it should,.. Except for the HDMI video throughput.
Summary: Excellent in all functions, except Zone 2, which isn't working and there are several other owners with the same problem. The SR606 powers a Klipsch Quintet SL Home theater system and two Infinity bookshelves, along with Klipsch 12" powered subwoofer.
Summary: To the top reviewer. Zone 2 amplifiers in all onkyos are 2 channel stereo amplifiers. just hook up a red white rca cable as well as your digital cables for each device you have connected to the receiver and you will have the joy of independent sources for zone 1 and zone 2.
Summary: I bought Bose Acoustimass 16 speakers to go with this reciever. The set up took over 5 hours to hook up. Then it took couple of hours of teethig problems like bad conncetions etc to get the caliberation done. Then the sound level was very low at the default settings.
Summary: This product has worked out great for me. I have it hooked up through some polk monitor speakers and the sound is great. The video upconversion for evey device through HDMI is also wonderful. So nice not having to change inputs on my TV.
Summary: Nice Receiver, all my component hooked up easily. Manual not to bad, but it can't cover every component. Everything works great, I'm very happy with its functions. The 2nd zone is awsome to have. Souround sound in the livingroom and tuner in the other rooms.
Summary: Pros: Zone 2 can play a difference source than the main receiver. Up-converting works well, even for my 4:3 HD-Ready TV. Sound setup was easy. Volume control in small increments. Surround sound works way better than my old Dolby Pro Logic receiver (worth doing an upgrade).
