Excerpt: My husband and I love to watch movies and listen to music hooked up to a home theater system. We bought a speakers set with subwoofers from Polk Audio and we bought a 7.1 Channel Home Cinema Receiver from Onkyo electronics. I have heard good reviews from Onkyo products. I have wanted something that could hook up everything that I have from LCD TV, stereo, Blu-ray player, DVD player, WD Media Player and Playstation 3.

Summary: Sophisticated look and compliments our entertainment components. HDMI and Fiber-optics is superb and the back panel makes it easy to hook up everything for a flawless Home Theater look and sound. Playback is realistic and sound takes your breath away!
Summary: had this same model in the philippines, been using it for 9yrs now. the durability n physical built is bulletproof as they say onkyo is for audio as yamaha is for blockbuster/effectmovie, lately though my unit is having a memory problem, once the power is off, all the settings goes back to reset mode, damn i hav to put it in standby mode even if i'm out of town for the weekend, anyway at 9yrs that's already a steal considering i bought it new for usd399.
Summary: This is a great entry-level, HDMI 1.4 capable receiver. The Audyssey auto calibration of your speaker setup is truly impressive. I owned an old model Onkyo receiver without this feature, and this improvement was well worth the upgrade. One note: the receiver does not upscale component sources to 1080p, but if you're using the HDMI connections then it's a non-issue.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy Setup, Great Sound Quality
