i have tried to connect my blu-ray (samsung) via onkyo tx-nr906 to tv (sharp) using hdmi. didn't get pictures/sound. have done it now via hdmi blu-ray to tv and using toslink blu-ray to onkyo (this works but i want to get rid of as many cables as i can).
does anyone have had this problem too once ?
could it be that blu-ray uses hdmi 1.4 and onkyo receiver hdmi 1.3 ?
thanks in advance for the answers
Wil it well my Klipsh rf-52s, rc-52, rs-42s and the rw-10d, and if what should I buy ?
Would the Onkyo TX-NR906 benefit from adding a pre amp? If so, what pre amp would be the best suited?
I have owned a Onkyo TX-NR905 for about a year now. I'm really pleased with the Onkyo for my media room application (note: give it room on the rack - it runs hot). However, I'm left wondering: what are the primary differences between this unit and the comparable (which - 9.8?) Integra A/V receiver? The published specs are virtually identical, even though the Integra is quite a bit more expensive. I recall reading somewhere that the volume control components on the Integra are higher quality but otherwise the units are identical - which doesn't make sense to me. So, I'd appreciate any further details anyone has access to about the differences. Thanks
