The boyfriend loves it! Score!

A. Lenaburg, Amazon
10 September 2014
  • Summary: Got this for my boyfriend after showing it to him online and watching him drool; he about died he loves it so much. Can't say too much about it as it exceeds my technical expertise but he uses it to connect to his TV, speakers, computers, gaming console and portable devices and they all run without a hitch. No problems yet and he is completely happy. Got it during an Gold Box deal so the price was great.

Amazon and Onkyo is number ONE !!!

Jeff S., Amazon
5 September 2014
  • Summary: The name Onkyo says it all !! The big problem here is the menu listings in the stereo goes on and on. Plus the sound setting is not under one menu list. Each list of the menu has different sound settings. It really takes too long to figure out how to set this up and get it playing to your personel listening mode. Amazon should have three month return policy for this reason on all their products. No offence Amazon, I'll always be your customer.

Great Receiver

Pat, Crutchfield
22 August 2014
  • Summary: I had been searching a very long time to find a powerful receiver that could offer TRUE zone B sound to power a set of outdoor speakers independent of what my 5.1 system is playing in the house (TV, etc). In addition, I recently decided to get back in vinyl since some really cool mastered Lp's are coming out (yes, I'm old). Well, this receiver delivers. It is easy to set up, and although some reviewers criticized the GUI I had no problems with it.
  • Pros: Powerful. Easy to set up. True Zone B with plenty of power. Phono jacks if anyone else other than me cares :). WiFi/BT enabled
  • Cons: Had spotty WiFi but that could be my internet service. The techs were very knowledgable and courteous to help me with a set up question.

Stunning Performance at a reasonalbe cost.

M. G. Barnes, Amazon
14 August 2014
  • Summary: As far as I am concerned Onkyo Receivers are some of the best made in their price range. This is my third one. And will continue to buy the brand. This receiver will hammer my Paradigim sound system. I would recommend the Onkyo receiver to my friends.

looks and performs like a new unit

John W. Coulter, Amazon
1 August 2014
  • Summary: Wanted a receiver that had more punch than my old Onkyo (TX-SR706) as I had added some larger Klipsch speakers that wouldn't mind a little extra power. The receiver came packaged perfectly, looks and performs like a new unit, couldn't be happier. Sort of stuck with Onkyo/ Klipsch for years and while my system doesn't hold a candle to some of the powerhouses some people can afford, for the price this was an excellent deal and really improved both our music/ movie watching...

Excellent reciever!

Cooper, Amazon
21 July 2014
  • Summary: Great receiver with lots of options. I'm only using it for 5.1 right now but it has everything I need to expand easily. Setup was easy though the automatic setup with the microphone didn't work out quite as well as I'd hoped. Happily it got very close and was quite easily adjusted. No complaints worth mentioning.
