Summary: Great receiver with lots of options. I'm only using it for 5.1 right now but it has everything I need to expand easily. Setup was easy though the automatic setup with the microphone didn't work out quite as well as I'd hoped. Happily it got very close and was quite easily adjusted. No complaints worth mentioning.
Summary: I have owned no less then 7 Onkyo receivers over the last 12 years (i worked for a big retailer in the early 2000's). I have used denons , Harman Kardons and random other in this time yet i keep coming back to the onkyo brand (i only go away because i like to try new products). I have owned a few in the SR series (no network older series circa 2002-2009) and a few in the NR series the current series.
Summary: The sound output is amazing. Works great! I upgraded from a a samsung receiver and this one is 100% better with a lot more features. I researched this receiver before I bought it and compared it with others even the more expensive brands and this one seemed the best one on the market.
Summary: This works flawlessly absolutely fantastic! Plenty of HDMI connectors allow for all of your electronics and the sound is unimaginable ! I hear sound from speakers I forgot I had ! Best purchase Ive made in along time!
Summary: I am rather impressed by the quality of this product, both sonically and physically. I had some concern about pars burning out on Onkyos from my research, but so far I have not noticed any excess heat. I have let it be on for several hours with my blu ray player sitting directly on top of it as I had had with my old Yamaha. So far, so good. It any part fries, I will update this.
Pros: Ease of set up; great sound and video quality
Cons: Audio set up can't find my center speaker for some reason, so I have just adjusted it manually.
Summary: I'm really enjoying this receiver. I've had zero problems so far. Everything was easy to setup. Although I have a 5.2 setup I noticed that you cannot bi-amp & use 7.2 at the same time. Its either one or the other. Not a problem for me though.
