Summary: Great receiver with a ton of features to produce excellent sound and video. A great bargain while they last. I use this avr in my 7.1 home theater and the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 makes calibration for room acoustics with excellent results.
Great sounding. Great price for 40 pounds 7.2 Home theater receiver.

Summary: For me this TX-NR818 is the best mid range model released by Onkyo and for the price of $700 i got 135 powerful watts at 8 ohms and everything i want from expensive home theater receivers, even there is a lot of bad reviews coming from website reviewer and who bought this, i don't mind how they give...
Summary: This TX-NR818 was bought to replace an old Marantz SR5600. I chose the 818 instead of the 828 because it was a little cheaper at $700, and because it seems like Onkyo REMOVED features in the jump from 1 to 2. This thing has MultiEQ XT, while I'm pretty sure the new one doesn't.
Summary: Upgraded to the 818 from an HT-RC180 (Audyssey MultEQ), & while the 818s Audyssey XT32 supposedly is all the bells n whistles, to my ears I didn't hear much difference from what I had with my 180. Matter of fact, I kinda like the way my 7.1 system sounded with the 180 better than the 818!
Great sound quality at an extremely affordable price.....

Summary: I love the power and clarity this receiver gives me at such a reasonable price. I like the audessey program which calibrates your speakers sound as to where the placement of them is throughout the room, it makes the soundstage in the room so much more enveloping, and equal thriugh the room no matter...
Summary: great sound, crisp and natural. I paired it with 2 floor standing speakers (klipsch reference RF62ii) and cannot ask for better sound. I'm not a big fan of 5.1 sound so stereo delivers enough for me. very nice feature package, enough HDMI ports. solid build, independent block construction.
Build like a tank, with awesome+ sound whit out hurt your wallet..!! :)

Summary: What I can say I'm very loyal to the good stuff, it is my third Onkyo receiver, an upgrade from my TX-NR609, and I can feel the difference in the sound, more powerful, more options of connectivity, and it match perfectly with my JBL'S speakers and my Oppo Bluray player.
Summary: Just got this receiver over Thanksgiving 2013. The picture has visibly improved on my TV, and the ability to control my Apple TV with the receivers remote means I no longer have to hunt for the tiny silver ATV remote. I highly recommend this receiver.
Summary: Bought the Onkyo for my new house and had it installed downstairs. The performance was so good that I purchased another for my man cave and installed it myself. Hooked up 4 Bose 901's, 2 Kenwood's w/17" woofers and a pair of Bose 301's.
