Summary: I have had this unit for less than two years and I have no audio. The unit is under warranty so I will modify the star rating up if everything works out. Prior to this little debacle it was the best receiver I have ever owned in my short 44 year existence. We will see...
Summary: Since the time that this came out, Onkyo has come out with several newer generations. In some ways, the features have improved, but in many ways they haven't. You can go to the Onkyo website to compare multiple models to see how the features compare to something like the newer 828 model.

Summary: Like many others here, I bought a new 809 because my old Onkyo was so good to me. Going from a SR501 to the NR809 is an absurd jump in quality, convenience, sound ... you name it. I love this receiver. And there's no way I'm giving it five stars. Because Onkyo's tech support is horrible.
