I have decided to give it a great home in my garage

Summary: I still have mine after all these years! I finally decided to upgrade my receiver to update my home theater system. This was a difficult decision to make. This receiver has worked just about every day for a DECADE with zero issues. I have decided to give it a great home in my garage!
Summary: This receiver has a solid sound and, paired with decent speakers, sounds awesome. I have it in my living room and it mainly serves to power my video setup so that my family can enjoy TV, DVDs, etc. Zone 2 is set up to provide audio to speakers in other parts of the house. In general this works fine.
Pros: Power, sound quality
Cons: Net tunes, On-screen programming, flaky Zone 2, memory loss
Summary: Bought this new back in 06 for 800+ dollars and worth every dollar. I see they are going for under 200 (used) which is a steal. This beast has high watts and more important, amps to drive high imp speakers.
Summary: I run the Onkyo with: Samsung DVD-HD931 DVD player Samsung HPN4239 Plasma AudioSource Amp1 Amplifier Sony CD changer The Amplifier was necessary to drive my passive subwoofer. Buy an active woofer if you don't own an amp. The NetTune system works great.
Summary: - an excellent receiver. Quality construction, excellent sound. The Net-Tune features work well with a minimum of setup fuss. The unit is probably a little pricier per feature than some other units, but the trade-off in sound quality and ease-of-use is worth it. Highly recommended...
