Excerpt: I recently purchased a new TX-NR737 Onkyo 7.2 Channel Network AV receiver from B&H Photo after reading about all the features of this particular receiver. This was my second Onkyo which had for over 11 years before it gave out on me.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Energy Efficient, Good Power Output, Good Remote Control, Great Sound Quality
Summary: I've been watching the Onkyo receivers along with the Pioneers and Denon. The price was right on this model for me and does everything I ask it. Easier to set up than I expected and works very well with my Samsung TV. I had to use a workaround for the automatic hdmi switching but no big deal.
Pros: Easy hook up Great app
Cons: Have to use TV/CD setting for both cable box and TV. (This is the work around)
Summary: Read every review, Crutchfield. The receiver cannot be as powerful as advertised. It is finicky about when and how it works, clicking on and off at will. No lighted selectors on unit, the remote is small and not up to par with my 24 yr old Sony. Good luck programing remote.
Pros: Price, connected to wifi easily and tech help was patient
Summary: I had to replace my Marantz as it had an odd POP noise at times. I read online it was common. I feel like buying a Marantz is like buying a BMW; the best looking receiver, just keep your fingers crossed it doesn't break. I'm a previous Onkyo owner (3rd one now) and only had good luck.
Pros: Easy to read volume. Far superior sound. Onkyo quality. Easy setup.
Summary: I upgraded from a nonHDMI input Onkyo receiver to the Onkyo TX-NR737. What an improvement! Having my HDMI components run to the receiver and one out to the TV simplified my connections. It also improved the sound quality immensely.
Pros: Bluetooth, HDMI in and out, improved sound quality
Summary: Very excited to get product had Pioneer Elite it was just getting a bit old still works fine sent to my brother for the price this purchase is a no brainer really brought out the sound I was looking for for my Definitive Technology speakers you really can't go wrong with this purchase
Pros: Set in my custom entertainment center perfect replacing Elite receiver with breathing room loud enough to get my wife out of the room
Cons: Loud enough to get my dog out of the room seriously if you're getting the add on speakers make sure your contents aka DVDs excetra are compatible with Atmos
Summary: Crutchfield tech support was there to help get me connected. Great company. I have purchased several items from them. Would highly recommend Crutchfield.
Pros: This receive has a lot to offer anyone in the market for a replacement. I have had a Kenwood, Sony, and Pioneer And by far this is the best. Love that its built in with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, no additional adapters to purchase unlike other brands. Zone 2 allows you to run additional speakers to other ...
Cons: Wish it came with more detailed instructions. You must download the advanced manual to understand all that this receiver has to offer. It is a little difficult to set up but Onkyo and Crutchield were great walking me through it.
