Summary: Love this receiver, although it has a bunch of stuff that we don't use like the networking feature since every other device we have does that already. But my wife & I use the bluetooth all the time & I love Audsessy, and the configuration options. We have owned & used it for about two months now and we're really happy with it. We have it connected to our router so updating firmware is super easy and have not experienced a single problem.
Summary: I waited a couple months to write this review. Within a couple weeks after delivery, this receiver started showing signs of a bad HDMI card, so I exchanged it for a replacement. Of course, Amazon handled the exchange perfectly, and I had a new receiver within 24 hours. I had to take a star away, because while we love the functionality of the receiver, the remote capabilities are nearly unusable.
Summary: This receiver is great. I love the options including the Bluetooth, internet access, access to Pandora and Sirius. It sounds great. Please be aware that the plugs will accommodate all your components. The remote just may not contain the right name of the component. For example there is no VCR label. You will have to remember what you used as the VCR plugs. Still love Onkyo products.
Do not buy this receiver... Save your money Beware

Summary: I bought this receiver 3 months ago, and now does not work, terrible, I always have bought Harman Kardon, and decided to try Onkyo, worst decison terrible product I just lost 700 bucks.. Stay away from this receiver you have to cross your fingers if you get a working unit.... Fail Onkyo..
Summary: Mixed reviews on a lot of receivers but I pulled the trigger on this one. Still haven't gone through all of its functions but what I've done so far I'm liking it. Replaced my 12 year old onkyo with no hdmi or smart features for this updated 7.2 thx wifi Bluetooth beast. I didn't think initial setup was all that bad. Blue tooth from my phone was simple but range is limited. Audessy was also easy following the on screen prompts to dial in each speaker.
Summary: I really like the receiver and its features. I ordered Sony STR and cancelled it because of HDMI issues and now I believe it was a wise decision. The sound quality is just amazing. It would be great if you have good speakers to fully enjoy the sound.
Summary: I purchased this unit to replace an out-of-warranty Denon AVR-1912 whose HDMI ports were no longer working properly. The unit looks better in person than in the pictures online. I compared it to the Denon AVR-X2000, and felt that, for a small price premium, this one offered some nice extra features, like THX Select 2 certification, WiFi and 7.2 channel support. I didn't change any of my speakers. The setup process was fairly straightforward.
Summary: Let me start this by saying I'm an audiophile who barely knows enough to be dangerous. I know what sounds good, and I'm very picky about my sound, but I'm not always good at the mechanics of getting good sound to happen. With that preface, let me tell you that I'm very, very happy with my new Onkyo. I upgraded from a 5ish-year-old previous model in this same series, and those five years of improvements made such a huuuuge difference.
Summary: The Amp has only been installed for 2 days but so far it is preforming as advertised. I am still not totally familiar with the remote as the unit does so many different things and the instructions can be a little vague when it comes to interfacing with the other components . . . but don't let that stop you if you are looking for a great piece of equipment. This probably has many more features that most people will use.
