Excerpt: Android app is a little crude but works OK. Powered zone 2 does what it is supposed to. The only real drawback so far is zone 2 can't use a digital input Otherwise I am happy with this unit. Bluetooth and wifi allow remote control from my phone.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output
Pros: For the price point, you can't do any better. Great sound quality through my Paradigm speaker setup. More HDMI inputs than I could ever need...which is why I upgraded from my old Onkyo 800 series. Bluetooth works flawlessly with my Mac and iTunes. I don't think I'll ever need a Dolby Atmos setup,...
Cons: Could use a little more power. I can max out the volume at some times. It's loud, but it could be a little more robust. My only complaint.
Great value but component video conversion at 480i

Summary: For the money, this is a great value considering Dolby Atmos and HDCP 2.2 compliant. I found the set-up very easy and intuitive and the video source switching works great with my Viewsonic projector (the Yamaha 1040 I previously purchased had all sorts of compatibility issues with the projector so I...
Pros: Easy and intuitive set-up, Dolby Atmos, HDCP 2.2 compliant.
Summary: Have had this receiver for over a week and have put it through its paces. Invest the 10 minutes to auto calibrate the sound; it made a huge improvement. This unit delivers all that it promised, and more. The sound is clear and rich on any input. Plenty of power for my typical 2000 square foot house.
Pros: Crutchfield service and technical expertise, the unit delivers all that it claims and definitely compares nicely to the upgraded model (that is $700 more). The auto calibration system works very well and is worth the ten minutes after you think you've achieved optimal results. I suspect the auto ...
Excerpt: Everything is great except that sometimes the app for the ipad does looses connection. It seems to work for a while and then stops playing. Overall I am very happy with sound and performance. Just the app for streaming music.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: So far, I am very pleased. Great number of features, especially at this price. I wanted Dolby Atmost, which in other receivers started at $1,500 and up. Installation was fairly easy with on-screen prompts.
Pros: Lots of features. Easy set-up. Looks and sounds great.
Cons: Remote could be better designed. Otherwise, no cons so far.
Excerpt: I needed a new AV receiver. I tried shopping locally but the selection and pricing at B&H was superior to what I could find in the local shops (big box). The detail available on the website was by far more detailed and helpful in making my purchase decision. The unit arrived on time.
Summary: This is my first receiver for my home theatre setup as I am upgrading from a sony soundbar. Very easy to setup and I love the Onkyo Android app as its much more easy to use than the original remote.
