Summary: I had a Denon but desided to upgrade, read the review's on this amp, sounded pretty good. But I feel like a fool now, there is a problem with the volume control on the remote, it goes to full volume or to no volume.
Summary: First thing I did was to update the firmware. I've had it for three days and already lost audio over HDMI for all inputs twice (power cycle resolves the issue temporarily). Also the WiFI is terrible. I have had to hardwire the network.
Summary: Got this to replace an old HK Citation. I didn't want to shell out a lot of money and was waiting for the right time to upgrade. After years of procrastinating, I jumped on this deal because the $350 discounted price and features that had everything I wanted.
Summary: I was very interested in purchasing this receiver with this much power at this price point. However, I'm not sure where they came up with 6ohm speaker rating. Unless I'm old school, home/theater speakers are normally 8ohms.
Summary: This is not a good deal. You can get a brand new one at this price instead of a refurbished one. As far as the unit itself... I do own one and it's great. They are prone to an HDMI error. Research it. Mine hasn't had though. Hopefully it will not.
Excerpt: Android app is a little crude but works OK. Powered zone 2 does what it is supposed to. The only real drawback so far is zone 2 can't use a digital input Otherwise I am happy with this unit. Bluetooth and wifi allow remote control from my phone.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output
Summary: After much research and advice from Crutchfield I decided on the this receiver. Shipping was very fast to Hawaii and free. Set up was pretty much straight forward although I did call tech support for help on some settings (great guys, always very knowledgeable and courteous).
Pros: Ease of set up, sound quality and of course customer support from Crutchfield.
Pros: For the price point, you can't do any better. Great sound quality through my Paradigm speaker setup. More HDMI inputs than I could ever need...which is why I upgraded from my old Onkyo 800 series. Bluetooth works flawlessly with my Mac and iTunes. I don't think I'll ever need a Dolby Atmos setup,...
Cons: Could use a little more power. I can max out the volume at some times. It's loud, but it could be a little more robust. My only complaint.
