Summary: I returned it to Newegg and selected a different receiver to replace it with. I had really considered just exchanging it for the same one because it is so good when it works but decide I didn't really want to take a chance on it.
Pros: Sound is great when it works correctly. Internet radio and Pandora worked great. Very easy to setup. It has every option you could possible need.
Cons: After about a week and a half the sound would go out after switching inputs or channels and would take about five to ten minutes to return. It would do this regardless of what input was selected. After about a week of doing that it started working perfect for a few days. After a few days it started to have the same issue again.

Summary: I purchased this receiver based on the overall rating from all the buyers, even though I realized many people commented on the unreliable HDMI connection. Unfortunately, I am not lucky and got bitten by the same HDMI issue. I have a karaoke machine that outputs video via hdmi and audio via analog. This seemingly easy combination shouldn't be hard to make work with the feature full Onkyo 626.
Summary: ONKYO was recommended to me by a friend because he never had a problem with his receiver, but his receiver did not have HDMI. If ONKYO could make the HDMI last for more than one year it would be great.
Pros: When I first got my Receiver everything worked great and continued to work great for about a year. Then one day had no HDMI support. I ran every test that I knew still no HDMI support.
Cons: Will last about a year before you will have no HDMI support.

Summary: Tried the 535 model and had Bluetooth challenges. Got this one instead to do Bluetooth streaming from my iPhone, yet I have to re-pair it every time, just like the 535 (whereas my iPhone automatically connects with other devices like my car's audio system, a bluetooth portable speaker, etc). Also, the 626 has a Bluetooth button on the unit, but not the remote. The cheaper 535 has this, why wouldn't the 626?
Great Product Features, Terrible Reliability and Support

Summary: It's a shame the product features are diminished by Onkyo's warranty policy. Product failed in less than 4 months of use. I've had other Onkyo products that had performed extremely well so when my video output went out I thought this should be no issue. I learned quickly that some companies just don't know how to handle customers. My experience with their technical support department was less than positive.
Summary: This took me a couple of days to set-up, rerunning wires and adding banana clips. I was steered to this initially for its phono component. Then after reading user reviews and professional reviews decided to try it. I found it important to understand the layout of the user guide, it's online. It's basically 3 sections. One, an overview of the box with everything labeled. The second superficially goes over what it does, and references pages in the 3 section.
