Summary: I have found it impossible to adjust the sound to the various channels. The system has connected with my Comcast system and TV and now I cannot adjust the center channel using the receiver tuner. This has caused me to turn on closed captions to understand what people are saying when there is background music. I found this very frustrating watching the ice skating during the Olympics.
Summary: I purchased one of these receivers and sometime within the Amazon return dates, it overheated an internal component which broke the receiver. Amazon replaced the potentially defective receiver, and I was sent a new one. This one worked for 4 months before doing the exact same thing. During a movie with plane wings or an explosion, I heard a pop in the receiver and no longer was able to turn on. This time I had to send the receiver away to a service center.
Summary: I purchased this because my older, rock solid, Denon did not do 3-D pass-through and I just got tired of that and sold it. This receiver does everything you need it to do basically, however, as others mentioned while it can support Wi-fi and Bluetooth, they're not included features. It does have a built-in Ethernet port.
Summary: Very good received at a great price, but I bought this received for a specifically because it accepted both hdmi and other inputs/outputs. After hours of install frustration, I found the receiver will upgrade cable input to HDMI output, but will not downgrade HDMI input to cable output. Had to rewire my projector to HMDI to get it to work. Upgraded signal was worth the effort, but a lot of frustration getting there.
Not sure which is worse, the receiver or the customer service.

Summary: This was one of the worst electronics experiences of my life. Just awful. So I spend all this time running the speakers, on my knees behind the entertainment center, scraping my knuckles on the edges, bumping my head on the coffee table, only to find out that the HDMI switching does not work. Ok, not horrible, it happens, right? Wrong. As is typical in these situations I was instruction to contact Onkyo. There's supposed to be a 1 year warranty that comes with it.
Summary: Awesome receiver is all I can say. Replacing my (still working after 13 years!) Sony DR945 receiver. Unfortunately, it doesn't 'upscale' from say component in to HDMI out. Ah well, knew that when I bought it (reading reviews works when you buy a big-ticket item!). Also got the usb wi-fi receiver to set up my international radion stations. Only 'weird' thing was: I connected the laptop to PC in (via HDMI) and it worked.
Summary: I liked this receiver when I first set it up. The sound was good and the setup was fairly easy. But the receiver only lasted five months before a major problem developed. The video has become very erratic in the past few days. the picture on my TV has started to flicker on and off very badly. I thought that it may be an HDMI cable, but the picture is fine when the receiver is on standby and I have the HDMI passthrough switched to "on".
