Summary: PROs: FW upgrades, Front-wide/width configuration, Audyssey Multi-EQ, Bi-amp ability, Dual Sub Outputs, Backlighted Remote. CONs: Single HDMI Output, No Mike Stand for Setup Mike, No Bi-amping in 7.1 Mode, Power Output, # of Calibration Settings, Small Writing.
Summary: Worked well for 3 years and it died... Will be contacting Onkyo to see if they extend the warranty. Read several online forums and the problem I am experiencing with the sound is common on this unit.
Summary: It's quite unfortunate when a good brand takes a truly bad turn. I've decided to purchase this mostly due to Onkyo's reputation of having great reliable receiver, but I really should have read more reviews of their other similar products.
Summary: This receiver sounds very good. The sound is pretty clean even at pretty high volumes. The amp hiss is virtually inaudible. I wish the menu was more intuitive and easy to operate, but for the price that I paid I cannot complain and I had an Onkyo receiver before so I am used to the menu a little.
Summary: JANUARY 2013 UPDATE: DO NOT BUY ONKYO. My receiver has stopped working again, just a year after warranty repair by an authorized Onkyo service center for what is a known issue with this model (it just stops producing sound one day).
