Summary: Worked well for 3 years and it died... Will be contacting Onkyo to see if they extend the warranty. Read several online forums and the problem I am experiencing with the sound is common on this unit.
Summary: It's quite unfortunate when a good brand takes a truly bad turn. I've decided to purchase this mostly due to Onkyo's reputation of having great reliable receiver, but I really should have read more reviews of their other similar products. I truly believe they have a bad design on ALL of their receivers where it simply just stops working. If you read reviews of the HT-RC180 to HT-RC460, across all models you will find customers that have their receiver just die on them.

Summary: This receiver sounds very good. The sound is pretty clean even at pretty high volumes. The amp hiss is virtually inaudible. I wish the menu was more intuitive and easy to operate, but for the price that I paid I cannot complain and I had an Onkyo receiver before so I am used to the menu a little.
