Summary: I have owned other NAD products over the years and found them to be outstanding. I replaced a 10 year old NAD T761 with the T748. I have a projector system with 5.1 Surround Sound and found it easy to hook up with the HDMI input.
Pros: Great sound. Easy to hook up. Auto Calibration using the mike is a real plus.
Cons: Owner's Manual could provide better examples relative to setting up the Listening Modes.
Summary: Sounds fine. The instruction manual is simply terrible. My unit would not remember which speakers were connected and would not go into standby mode. Communication with an NAD tech revealed that there is a "factory reset" function, which is not in the manual.
Summary: I love my NADs(yes I have two) I have an integrated amp that is nearly 12 years old and now this guy...It is amazing that through the years the NAD still has that particular sound to them that I love. Not over colored and not overdone. Beautiful natural tone for the pickiest of ears.
Summary: I replaced a more expensive Marantz SR 7002 for this new affordable NAD entry level unit because I need it the new 3D capability and I can tell you that this NAD, actually sounds effortless. Like is not even trying and. The sound is more natural. Is hard not to notice the difference with this unit.
Summary: This is an excellent product for those who prefer function over endless arrays of features that you don't understand or will ever use. The clean faceplate is the first item that grabbed my attention. No muss or fuss just a basic presentation of what is going on with the unit.
Pros: Clean, abundant power. Uncluttered faceplate. Speaker alignment microphone for setup of home theater. Great sound
Summary: This amp is not worth the headache. There are known defects and production flaws that happened. I am one of those lucky customers who got a defective amp from NAD. The problem with the NAD 748 is whenever the amplifier has no signal and gets a signal again you get a popping sound.
Pros: Simple circuitry. Good power supply and transformer
Cons: Popping noises, clicking sounds in speakers happens off and on when you least suspect.
Summary: This is the best receiver I have ever owned. I have been an Onkyo fan for the last 8-10 years. Before that, Technics. I recently replaced my Onkyo '606 with this receiver. It is as if I had bought a whole new system. I am now an NAD fan.
Pros: Simple set up. Clean look. Plenty of hook-ups. Great sound.
Summary: I replaced a 14? year old Onkyo AV receiver that was still working perfectly. I was wondering if I was really going to notice any improvement in TV viewing and listening to my favorite music. Sales consultant Nancy assured me that the NAD T748 would be a major improvement and, wow, was she right!
Pros: Fantastic sound and video quality! All the power I'll ever need.
Cons: Set up is not user friendly. I almost gave up on it Too many software changes needed to get it to function.
Summary: I bought this receiver as a "fill in" while my 5 channel amplifier is off for repair. It's a 200 watt per channel, 5 channel amp that sells for 10K. This receiver has done a good job of taking its place and provides excellent separation and enough power to provide a very good movie experience and...
Pros: Sound quality, sounds more powerful than it is, very good separation and soundfield for movies, very good for music playback and concerts
