Summary: I've always admired Marantz. They make very high quality equipment and this is no exception - that is, except for the receiver part. I don't get very good AM reception with the supplied antenna. FM is OK but not great. Otherwise it handles all my other needs pretty well.
Great Receiver (unless you use a Macintosh computer)

Summary: Marantz SR7002 Review: Sound is great and this receiver is obviously well built. Relatively simple and straightforward hook-up. I was very pleased until I got to the two remote controllers, each of which needs to be programmed... no problem, unless you use a MACINTOSH computer!!!
Summary: This receiver has great sound for music and movies, I am very happy with marantz for sound quality and performance. I find it hard to figure out how to get all of the features operating properly. but I am still working on it. Remote is tricky but its my first home theater system.
Summary: A lot of receiver for the price......love the sound, it looks great, but man does it produce the heat...have had to buy a fan to suck the heat out....was lead to believe the Plasma TV I bought was going to produce heat, but it has been cool even in the desert heat of Phoenix..
Summary: Great sounding receiver when using good speakers (I have 3 M&K,s)in the front and 4 (speakercraft's) in the ceiling, center/rear. Played a 7.1 movie WOW ! --- BUT there are only 5-10% of all movies made in 7.1 (Lionsgate biggest provider).
Summary: This receiver sounds great, distributes HDMI video with no distortion, has quality, solid look. But set up is not user freindly due to a overly complicated remote that operates a too simple operator interface screen display. It's almost like they did not finish what they set out to do.
Summary: This is very good looking, well made receiver. The sound quality is just amazing on both audio stereo and movies. The only minus point is the heat. This unit runs quite warm and needs enough space around to keep it cool.
