Summary: I had purchased an sr6006 unit a few months ago when the geek boys would not fix a simple problem in my Onkyo - and just gave me my money back. I know the 6006 is last years model but I think the quality and tech support issue crosses all models. The guys at the Magnolia room convinced me that the quality of the Marantz was stellar. Well I did not look at some of the reviews... and mine aligns with those that have had a bad experience.
Software problems caused receiver to freeze. Returned within 30 days

Summary: Had to return due to the receiver freezing up. Unable to perform any function. Only way to turn off is to pull the power cord. Unit then freezes up again a few minutes after it is turned on again. Tried to reset the microprocessor as recommended by Marantz but did not help. Hated to return because the sound was fantastic and the functionality state of the art.
