Summary: Hi, This was an openbox item which i got for $699, received in excellent condition was packaged in original box , same as brand new had no signs of use. Currently i am using my BX6(8Ohm), BX Center and Sony(6 Ohm) as surround. Bought from hiDef Lifestyle through Amazon. Would recommend buying from them.
Summary: I wanted to integrate my old Thorens turntable and a Revox tape deck into my home theater system to cut down on clutter. The fact that this receiver includes a dedicated phono input and an auxiliary input/output capability were the key features for me. Setup was fairly easy. The receiver acts as a central control unit for everything so Blu-Ray, and the cable box connect to the receiver via HDMI cables - the receiver connects to the TV (a Sony Bravia in my case) via a...
Summary: I had no idea what I was missing by still using my old Marantz receiver. This is a solid, musically sound device and although the initial setup was a bit of a pain (firmware update took longer than expected) once it downloaded and installed it worked like a charm. The onscreen menu is intuitive and clear. The sound production is spot on and it's really brought my speakers to life.
Summary: I am finally moving away from separates and I think this will be a good substitute. The setup takes a little while but the receiver walks you through with on screen prompts. Mostly easy to figure out. Sound is very good. Needd only minor volume tweaking after automatic setup. The remote does need to be lit but I use the iPhone ap for controling the receiver. That is kind of handy and has a bit of a cool factor.
Summary: Great receiver at a great price. This was selling for $1,199 everywhere, but got it for much better price here. Installation and setup was very easy, and works flawlessly with incredible sound.
Summary: Gotta say, I love this baby. Pumps out nice clean sound with plenty of power. Produces a very warm, rich sound. Having only HTIB speakers previously, it has taken me a little bit to get used to the "new" sound. The soundstage is expansive and the channel separation is awesome. It has just enough DSP fields for me. It's great being able to play my iTunes through the SR6007...really cool.
Summary: I had purchased an sr6006 unit a few months ago when the geek boys would not fix a simple problem in my Onkyo - and just gave me my money back. I know the 6006 is last years model but I think the quality and tech support issue crosses all models. The guys at the Magnolia room convinced me that the quality of the Marantz was stellar. Well I did not look at some of the reviews... and mine aligns with those that have had a bad experience.
