Summary: Had mine for a month and I am very happy with the receiver- all functions work as they should despite some of the complaints I`ve seen online about Air Play- I guess the latest firmware upgrades must have solved that or else this was home network setup issue. It is musical and running it through a pair of PSB Alphas as front speakers, the sound equals the performance of a PM5004- then again, these are not high end units so better quality may tell more of a difference...
Summary: I bought this receiver to replace a Pioneer Elite receiver because I wanted 3D capability. The receiver was set up without any problems. All aspect of the functionality of the receiver (sound and picture pass through) is working quite well. I must say I can't really tell any difference in sound or picture from my old Pioneer Elite, but the 3D function works quite well.
Great Receiver & Excellent Value at Close-Out Price

Summary: This receiver is a great value at its closeout price of about $800. (I paid $775 for mine from Hi Def Lifestyle, fulfilled by Amazon.) My understanding is that the internal circuitry, features, and menu of the SR6006 are essentially equal to those of the Denon AVR-3312CI. However, I have soft spot for Marantz, so I chose this model over the Denon. (My first receiver was a Marantz 2216B back in 1978!
Summary: Have been enjoying this receiver for the last week and I love it. The airplay feature is absolutely awesome. There is also an app to control the receiver which is a nice bonus. The sound quality is terrific. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.
Summary: Marantz is one of those vintage brands in which one can't help but be interested. When I found myself becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of HDMI inputs on my Yamaha RX-V1600 I started looking for a reasonable replacement without breaking the bank. My needs were simple, great sound, at least 6 HDMI inputs to accommodate all my sources, and it absolutely had to include Airplay for convenience.
