Summary: I purchased this unit from an Authorized Online Marantz dealer. If you do not buy from an authorized dealer the manufacturer's warranty is void. That was about all I had going for me. Four months after I installed the unit, the red blinking light of death appeared. It is similar to the blue screen of death your computer shows when it has crapped out beyond repair. My unit has failed and there is nothing I can do about it except go for a warranty replacement.
Summary: Have had mine for a year never could get all chanels to work. The remote is hard to use or understand and I very capable and have two other Bose systems which are superior to Marantz. Then reciever and preamp are black with black buttons that do not light up so at night you must have lights on. Over all this system is discontinued by the manufacture because its terrible! !!!
Summary: Had mine for a month and I am very happy with the receiver- all functions work as they should despite some of the complaints I`ve seen online about Air Play- I guess the latest firmware upgrades must have solved that or else this was home network setup issue. It is musical and running it through a pair of PSB Alphas as front speakers, the sound equals the performance of a PM5004- then again, these are not high end units so better quality may tell more of a difference...
Fantastic Sounding, Feature Rich, Rock Solid, what more do you want?

Summary: Pros:Excellent sound, great video, super features, music streaming capabilities, Audyssey XT Con's: A little complicated to get everything working properly, if you're not electronically inclined, pay someone! I've had Denon, Onkyo, Anthem receivers all cost around $1000 and this one sounds, subjectively, better than all of them.
Summary: I bought this receiver to replace a Pioneer Elite receiver because I wanted 3D capability. The receiver was set up without any problems. All aspect of the functionality of the receiver (sound and picture pass through) is working quite well. I must say I can't really tell any difference in sound or picture from my old Pioneer Elite, but the 3D function works quite well.
Summary: I got my SR6006 on closeout at Best Buy for $240. I had to order a remote, and the Audyssey Mic, and got the 4 Year Black Tie. I have $340 invested in it completely. I would have paid $1,000 for it, now that I heard it. My older Infinity Towers sound new, my surround is incredible, and I am pleased in every way! On closeout, this is an incredible deal. At regular price, it is still a solid purchase.
Summary: I have been keeping an eye on this receiver for the longest time. I didn't have the money to spend on it full price, but with the discount going on, I knew I had to jump on it before it sold out. I wish I could have afforded this sooner. What an amazing receiver! All the reviews are correct! For the price, this fine piece of electronics can not be beat. The sound is so warm and musical.
Summary: This is my first review of a product but this A/V receiver is so incredible I had to write something. I would really give this a 4.5/5 but I cant so im going with the later of a 5. Now there are some Pro's and Con's so im going to start with the con's and for me there were very little and nothing to deduct a full star for. First off I picked mine up at the local big box store for clearance price of amazing $519.
Summary: UPDATE Nov 2013 - Still love the sound, but it's been in the shop for warranty repair twice. First time was because of a software glitch. Second time was for another software glitch and the HDMI board gone bad. The repair tech told me HDMI boards are sensitive no matter the brand of receiver (the one in my Integra went out twice before I dumped it, and once in my Panasonic flatscreen, so I tend to believe him).
