Summary: Disappointed....decent sound and performance, but exactly one month out of its 3 year warranty it lost the ability to properly auto decode sound tracks. In order to hear sound, you find yourself having to click through the surround sound settings selecting various decode protocols until you hear...
Summary: Did my reading on this model, and was impressed by the reviews. Also read about the reliability issues of the SR6005. While searching for an AVR in 2012, came across an "Authorized Dealer" offering "Manufacturer Refurbished" units that were brought up to original standards etc.
Summary: I read about a POP of death but only after I purchase this Receiver. Mine just died get this I have one month of warranty left. It was bought March 19 2010 and died today Poped on Feb 19 2013 while watching the news noting was pushing its buttons but it is now in standby mode.
Summary: So far the best I have.the sound is nice.its easy to use. Have pre- amp for everything you need. I had denon receiver and it didn't sound right.so I search around and find out this marantz is way better. Naw I have it I'm happy that I upgrade.

Summary: This is my first Marantz product and i have to say im a very happy and proud believer in Marantz. I've heard about there reputation for excellent a/v components and outstanding sound quality and believe me they live up to the hype.
Summary: outstanding sound quality, video processing and its calibration system makes a huge and excellent difference. The menu is a little bit difficult to deal with, but nothing too complex, the design is classic and beautiful. I totally recomend anyone to buy it, i'm very satisfyed with mine.
Summary: Ordered a Marantz 6005 then returned it because it was a little difficult to set up. Ordered an Onkyo 809 since I already had an Onkyo 606 and was familiar with settings. Found myself missing the sound of the Marantz 6005 so I ordered another one. Now I have BOTH Onkyo 809 and Marantz 6005.
Summary: I will start by saying that I'm not a rookie when it comes to home theater. I managed the home theater department at a high end electronics store for 4 years and consider home theater not only something that I greatly enjoy, but also something I consider as a hobby.
Summary: I have had this amp for about a month now, and it is really nice. It replaced a four channel amp that was purchased in the '70's, so it took me a while to figure out what all the buttons and controls were. The included manual was helpful, but somewhat confusing at the same time.
