Excellent Sound and Great Feature Set at a Price Everyone Can Afford

Summary: I picked this receiver up about a year ago, lightly used on Craigslist for $400, which I think was a great deal. The receiver serves as the heart of my home theater, and I am very pleased with it.
Pros: Audyssey Setup, 7-channel amplifier, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD MA
Cons: Only 4 HDMI Inputs, Advanced Setup Can Be Confusing
Summary: I got this to replace an aging Pioneer VSX-416 with something more up-to-date. It is partnering a set of Wharfedale Obsidian 600 speakers, only three channels are being used and the other four are idling - for now. On the cards is the bi-amping setup for the front channels.
Summary: Well, this was an experience and I believe still on going while I try to figure out all of the function this Receiver has to offer vs what I want to accomplish. Not nearly as intuitive as I hoped.
Summary: This receiver looks good, sounds good, and the price was right. The first time I listen to a receiver or amp I play straight 2 channel stereo, because music playback will give you a better feel on how good the receiver performs.
Summary: I got this receiver to replace a NAD T762. The NAD is a 6 * 100w surround sound amplifier that's delivered outstanding music performance but has been a total dud managing surround sound sources.
Summary: Used this to replace a much older but more expensive receiver. Very happy with it and the set up for the speakers are very easy. One problem is that it only has in and out for a VCR but it does not have a tape in or out.
