Summary: I've had this receiver for a few weeks now and it works quite well, except for one annoying problem. I have a Directv DVR hooked to it (among other things), and I routinely fast forward and rewind through programs, mostly to avoid commercials or to replay a segment of a news program. Every once in awhile the reciever will drop the sound (I have all of my equipment, including the DVR running over HDMI) after I've fast forwarded or rewound a digital file.
Summary: I've had two other AV receivers over the last few years, Harmon Kardin and Onkyo, and this Marantz surpasses them both in all aspects. I am only using this receiver with a Panasonic plasma TV and LG blu-ray player, and, of course, CATV with an HD set top box. All seem to work really well, and I like the sounds when I play a CD or off of Pandora from the LG player.
Summary: I have a beautiful, custom-made cabinet for audio/video components that can't accomodate the height of most current receivers, so I picked this primarily for its size when my 20+ year old Luxman died. I was surprised at how easy the setup was, and the sound quality is excellent with just 2 speakers.
