I'm new at A/V world. So I will directly summarize my experience.
I used to have a DAV-DZ680 Home Theatre System, but an experience with an A/V Receiver is something different.
It has a great sound, with smooth and deep effects. The on- screen menu is very user friendly. In ten minutes, your living room becomes a theatre. The stand-by pass through feature is a key factor for me because my wife is not a tech fan. So she is able to watch SAT/Cable without starting the A/V.
The size was my main concern while I was planning to order a Sony DH-520 (Almost 30% cheaper than NR1403). I made a simple calculation and NR1403 saved me some money due its compact size (DH-520 needed a bigger TV Cabin for me which costs more).
As a result, NR 1403 is a stylish and compact A/V with excellent sound and build quality.

Will this AVR be good for HKTS 16 5.1 speaker set with max of 120W per speaker and a 200W subwoofer. Or should I go with Yamaha Rx-v473 or Denon AVR-1713? Thanks!
