Great for audio, remote is terrible, HDMI synch may not be its fault

Summary: The good : sound quality is excellent. The Audyssey system made a very large difference in the surround sound experience and even in two-channel soundstage reproduction and was quite easy to set up. The network application does actually work although the interface is clunky. The not so good : The remote, as many other reviewers notes, is really god-awful. I really can't figure out what it even intends to do most of the time.
Summary: Although presented as an audio/video controller, the AV8003 shines brightest on the audio side. The newest uncompressed codecs from DTS and Dolby are simply phenomenal when played through this unit. I'm using a Marantz DV9600 and an Oppo Digital BD-83 for my front end and they both sound awesome. I'm using an Anthem A5 connected to the AV8003 using balanced cables for amplification. Speakers are Paradigm Reference Studio 100 v2 L/R. Paradigm Servo 15 subwoofer.
