Summary: Everything is great about this high current receiver. I continue to buy HK 3 series receivers because i love the look, setup, and sound i get out of them. I've had the avr-330, then the avr-354, and now the avr-3650, and they keep getting more powerful. I sell my old ones to family members and they love them too! The only draw back is they are not making the new HKs with the multi-channel inputs.
Summary: I purchased this from Amazon at the end of 2011 when it was $1000. I have always loved this brand, and this was the 3rd Harmon Kardon receiver I had purchased over the years. I hooked it up excitedly, powered everything on and... no video. After some painful back and forth with HK's tech support, they determined that the HDMI video processing unit was bad.
Summary: Ive had this receiver for two weeks and love it!! Its really easy to get your Entertainment stuff connected to it. My old AVR 520 ; You had to use quite a bit of volume to get sound from the TV. (Like around +15 db). With this receiver, -35db is PLENTY of sound from the TV. In fact -35db is plenty from all of my devices-PC,Blu Ray,and my DVDR, This baby will give anyone all the volume they need.I like it loud;so That's saying a lot.
Summary: I thought I reviewed this one before? It works great and is exactly what I wanted. Only problem/question is that Amazon/seller said it was 'new'. It wasn't. The box had been opened and then sealed back up. It was a very nice job and I don't see any wear. But it seems this was probably used by the seller to provide a review of the product. After the review, I suspect the seller just packages it back up and sells it. Wouldn't this be 'like new', not new?
Summary: I have had several HK units over the last few years. I decided to "redo my man cave" . Started with panasonic AT 8000 3d projector:panasonic 3d DVD: Dalite 105 inch screen:logitech remote. these units replaced last generation like kind equipment. The projector is ceiling mounted, requiring a 40 foot of Redmere HDMI cables. The DVD, directv go to HDMI inputs on the HK. None of the system worked properly without changing to the Monoprice redmere HDMI.
Summary: At the time I bought this receiver, this was HK's top-of-the-line product. Your home theatre system is only as good as its "brain", and that's what led me to buy this receiver. I'm not a techno freak, so I did not go looking for products from McIntosh or any of those ultra high-end brands. The 3650 does the job, and does it well. My system consists of a flat panel 3DTV, 7 surround speakers, 1 subwoofer, an XBOX 360, a PS3, a Media Player and a satellite receiver.
Summary: Awesome product plenty of clean power i have found nothing negative about this unit. Its like sitting in a theater watching movies. The harman kardon internet radio is good lots of stations around the world connects easily to home net work to stream music from my music collection.
Summary: Sadly, I've had this product for only 6 months and two of the HDMI sockets have gone bad. I bought it as a replacement for my Onkyo receiver because it had, after 4 years, had some capacitor issues. I should have gone with another Onkyo. On top of it, there was a notable drop in the quality of sound from this Harmon Kardon when compared with the Onkyo's I've owned in the past.
