Summary: Starting with the CONS: First and foremost, it is SENSITIVE to ventilation. Spotify is subscription service only. I'd prefer a 10' power cord. Does require some tinkering to get set up and sounding great. Should include a learning remote. WiFi would have been nice in this model.
Summary: I love my Denon so far. I have an Onkyo that I have had for about 6-7 years that didn't have any HDMI IN/OUT and only had 2 component IN so I really wanted the Denon for that. I also LOVE the network capabilities and AirPlay.
Summary: I upgraded my system with this unit and am happy I did. It took a while to figure out the very large amount of menu options and what they do. I had trouble with the "Audessy Equalizer" settings because most of the other menu settings will apply to all inputs when you set them but the Audessy...

Summary: Help ! Sound is excellent! I am just wondering that the only surround sound is when playing my blu-ray dvd. TV or Netflix streaming does not i must be missing something. Someone out there please help!!!!
Summary: Wow, just what I wanted. I had this item on my wish list for over a year. But at a price of1300 dollars, I was deferring my purchase. The BANG, a pre-Christmas price drop of almost 40% made it a no brainier to order.

Summary: Apparently it's a hit or miss proposition getting a reliable, problem-free AVR-X4000. As with many others, in many other forums, ours kept powering off, then powering immediately back on, eventually even freezing to the point of having to unplug the power, from the very beginning.
