Summary: The Denon AVR-X3000 processes sound wonderfully, setup very easy however the unit is simply underpowered and overall sound quality suffers. The automatic setup microphone works however removed all low end from the sound mix. Adjusting the graphic equalizer is very cumbersome requiring several steps. Settings for equalizer do not save for each selection such as movie or music. If you adjust equalizer, that's how it stays no matter what field you select.
Summary: Small room my monitor audios are cranked to 8 to get volume- I know Monitor audios are inefficient and so so -my reference music system is a rogue audio with revel speakers in living room , but for avr this lacking. Mainly too few inputs the analogue inputs do not show p on the screen so few inputs I am lacking inputs hooked p airplay no input for sonos, no input for Nakamichi cassette no phono input and while sound is so so it is always too bass heavy- as well no matter...
Your receiver is a computer - with all that entails

Summary: Astounding sound. The Audessey calibration with my decent Polk 5.1 speaker setup is amazing. Really impressive, and I'm a sound engineer in a former life. Good stuff. Problem to recognize - it's a computer. It has an IP address. It has software. It has a blue screen of death, which isn't blue and isn't a screen. But on several occasions, I've had the unit playing from my Mac's Airplay source.
Pros: Sound and Audessey calibration, input and output options
Cons: Network features turn out to be a liability, when they are not working right.
Summary: The red blinking light shut downs that go with this system are annoying. But, a hard reset seems to help. I would do my research because many people are having problems with the new AVR models. Just do your homework.
