Summary: I decided to upgrade to a newer network component. Replaced an older Harmon Kardon bi amped with a Yamaha receiver. There is plenty of power to drive my polk rti a7 fronts. I am very happy with all the network capabilities. I can now use the Harmon to power zone 2.
Pros: network, power, ease of use, flexibility, sleek look,
Summary: Great product all the way from the display to the power it puts out! Bought this baby for our soon to be finished newly remodeled master suite to rock the privacy deck and the suite when getting ready or laying low reading a book.
Pros: Was set at an amazing price......I was a little nervous when calling for the price but was sold by the knowledge of customer service.
Summary: Disclaimer: I love Denon products.
I am in the habit of buying models about to be closed out. This unit was discounted 50%.
Plenty of power, attractively fashioned, heavy in the right sort of way, abundant HDMI inputs for my basic system, intuitive controls (more so than previous Denon pieces I have...
Summary: Not a bad piece of gear. Lots of new connections and options. It would have had 5 stars if it was compatible with older gear. A couple S-video connections and a phono pre-amp would have put it over the top. The up-scaling is great.
Pros: Sounds good. Easy set up.
Cons: Not compatible with older gear. No phono pre-amp or S-video connections
Summary: I acquired this receiver to upgrade my home theatre. I'm not disappointed. Great sound. Now that I've got it calibrated I can't stop listening to great sounding movie intros ... Like Top Gun!
I set mine up to watch my Apple TV, TiVo, and play party music throughout the house.
Pros: AirPlay is great.
Wonderful Dolby digital for movies.
Plenty of power.
Love the ability to control audio volume in zone b separately
Summary: I tried an NAD T-758, and I just wasn't able to get proficient with setting it up and using it. I had printed the manual before I bought it, and even read a good bit of it. The Denon was very handily substituted in for me by Crutchfield, and it has a much shallower learning curve.
Pros: Nice sound, works well with Harmony remote, and android app. Crutchfield evaluation window.
Cons: It does get a bit warm for my taste, but I try not to dwell on that. I am not shaking the walls with it, either.
