Summary: I've owned a lot of stereos and home theater gear. Don't waste your time with the other brands, DENON is a very good product. I'm happy with the application for iPhone and how amazingly easy it is to setup. Took me under and hour to wire everything up and go through the setup. Highly recommend this product. I purchased mine from Amazon Warehouse Deals "VERY GOOD.
Summary: The vendor that is selling these units and stating that they are like new is not verify that the prudent works before shipping. This was one of two receivers that we had delivered that did not work and many of the parts needed to operate were missing. Stay away from this used equipment!
Summary: In September of 2013 we moved into our new house with two zones/rooms of ceiling speakers (5.1 and 2.1) and subwoofers preinstalled. For 6 months I shopped, priced, and researched home-audio receivers and surround-sound systems. I finally decided upon and purchased this Denon AVR-X3000 home theatre receiver in April of 2014, and it is one of the best electrical/technological purchases I've made in 37 years of life on planet Earth.
Summary: Installation and setup were a breeze. Audyssey DSX is fantastic. I'm using the height speakers and the difference in movie watching is enormous. You really get the sense of 3D sound. Network features like Pandora, Airplay, Internet radio, etc work flawlessly.
Summary: This receiver can do just about everything you want it to. The only feature it didn't have which is why I'm giving it a 4 star is wireless internet connectivity. So, I had to move my router so I could hardwire in. Other than this, the receiver is awesome. Easy to use, tons of functionality, and the setup was simple. This was my first "real" A/V receiver, so I don't have much experience with things other than boxed home theater.
Summary: Excellent deal. This unit and accessories were still in the factory box. All items were still in their factory applied protective plastic and foam wrap. I am extremely happy with this purchase. Setup of my system was a breeze with the on screen prompts. I had the Denon set up and playing music from Pandora in less than 30 minutes.
