Awesome receiver. Have not had any problems so far.

C. Melgaard, Amazon

  • Summary: Ok, after trying several receivers this one is excellent. First a bit of background of my setup for those curious. Receiver in the basement, speaker wire running upstairs to main floor as well as outside speakers. Therefore, I needed something that could be controlled remotely over wi-fi and also I love the multi-zone. This is replacing a Logitech squeezebox system since Logitech stopped making them and does not support them anymore. I wanted to simplify the setup.

Very happy with receiver

  • Summary: I replace an ONKYO with the infamous HDMI issue with this unit. After having the ONKYO repaired 3 times, I didn't want to spend a whole lot on a receiver again but I found this unit to be good compromise. it has performed very well and setup is very easy (which I have gotten to know very well as I have been playing with different configurations). Issues I have had: When I first was setting it up, it had the issue where the setup screen doesn't display.

Fantastic for the price

  • Summary: I purchased this to replace an Onkyo that died. It has a ton of nice features, including Audyssey MultiEQ, which is superior to other 'auto setup' brands due to its subwoofer handling. Power is obviously not exactly as stated (NONE of them are!), but drives my Ohm fronts and Infinity center with ease. I like that you can trim the input level for each input. Built in Pandora and some other internet radio is nice, and works well.

  • Summary: So far works great. But it does get really hot. I have good ventilation and it still gets hot. Hope it does not shorten life span.

Cannot complain

  • Summary: The only thing that I would say could be better, is they try to make the setup so flawless, that it's somewhat complicated. A big tip would be that if you set the speaker volumes with the microphone sensor, make sure it is dead silent. The microphone picks up EVERYTHING, and it will interfere. I would imagine it is a good thing, but made it a little more challenging than it should have been.

Great Receiver for the money

Anthony Scarpitti, Amazon

  • Summary: I am running this receiver in a 7.1 home theater setup and it does all the decoding and amplification that I need. It replaced a high end AVR-4806CI model for comparison. It does up-scaling to 4K video to my Sharp TV and looks great. Highly recommended if you doesn't need WI-fi, otherwise you will need to purchase a WI-fi receiver for the Ethernet port. Highly recommended.
