Summary: No beating around the bush. This is a tough system to customize. But once you have it figured out you can output anything through this receiver. I use it in conjunction with a Harmony all in one remote. I am very happy with this product.
Summary: Comments about Denon AVR789 A/V Receiver: it is a nice system , i have had it for about a week and havent even explored it 20% , i am a tech savvy person but it is difficult to set up and understand the controls initially , to make a change you need to read the manual . sound quality is good
Summary: I have the Denon 1909 which is virtually identical to this unit. Pros: 1. Listening at low volumes (like at midnight) while trying not to wake a child up is MUCH better with the included Audyssey Dynamic Volume! Great feature!
Summary: Well... This is my second review of the product... now that I have been using it more I would have to agree that it's a pain in the neck to configure other than HDMI interface devices. I have tried to add component stuff and S-video... and I am having a hard time doing it...
Summary: .... The other reviews pretty much cover the difficulties regarding the manual and remote. Once it is up and running the sound is very rewarding. My first Denon AVR unit is from the 80s and still sounds great.
Summary: Comments about Denon AVR789 A/V Receiver plus DVD-757: Awesome deal. I was looking to buy the AVR-789 model because I had read such great reviews on it. I just bought it here with an upscaling Denon dvd player for the same price I have seen most dealers sell just the receiver for!
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Setup, Interfaces Well With TV, Intuitive Controls
Summary: Works well, no problems with it. However, there are others that I could have bought with similar features (Pioneer) that would have been significantly cheaper. So I probably would check into them before I bought this again.
Summary: Let me start out by saying that two things prevented me from giving this receiver 5 stars: the remote (I had to return the first one as it was defective) and the user's manual. Both leave much to be desired.
