Not compatible with 3D video

  • Summary: I have had one of these for about 3 years and it has been reasonably good except for a few quirks. The setup and user interface is atrocious as is frequently cited in reviews. When I switch between video sources there is about a 50-50 chance that it will not synch up somehow and I get a solid green screen until I power-cycle the Denon. Sound quality and overall functionality is good.

  • Summary: its a good receiver, but only in the right setup.. The sound quality is fine, great even. however, i didnt notice anything there that my old pioneer, aiwa, or sony receivers had. it was tough to setup, and it just has too many sub menus of sub menus, i consider myself very technically inclined, and i thought it was a pain.

Nice Features, Somewhat Complicated

  • Summary: Takes a while to get oriented w/ it. Good sound and features, but requires referring to the manual a lot, and maybe a few calls to Denon support. (They were pretty helpful.) I like the on-screen display w/ hdmi cable. The auto setup w/ mic is convenient and does a decent job of making initial sound settings. Good connections on the back for speaker wires, and enough inputs for me. Audyssey Dynamic Volume feature doesn't work all that well.
