  • Summary: The Denon AVR 7.1 channel receiver is powerful, heavy duty designed piece of electronics! Yet its smoothness of operation and eye appeal make it a terrific addition to any application, home or business. I have set it up for use in 3 differant rooms in my apartment and it rocks my apartment with ease producing a superior listening experience! Well worth 20 times what I purchased it for! My number 1 best win ever on Ebay!

  • Summary: This receiver is very good so far. I have not fully explored all of its features. The one disappointing feature to note is the fact that it is does not convert video to component out. It repeats this over and over in the manual but nowhere in the technical specifications.

  • Summary: I paid $299.99 at defunct CircuitCity. Replace it with Onkyo 616 and returned it because Denon sounded better les THX.

  • Summary: I wanted an upgrade from my old 5.1. Upon getting and starting to set up, I found the manual rather hard to follow, even though they show how to do it. There are so many options that it is tough to keep going back and forth to see what sounds better, and settings are very close. Also, even after shutting off minimum volume settings (for speaker protection) this receiver tops out at +5, although the manual says it goes to +18.

Enough for a Home Theater

  • Summary: Excellent product for that price; not that easy to calibrate because the instruction manual is kind of confusing. Set the second zone is also not an easy task. I have it installed with the screen in my first floor and enjoy it a lot more than the Bose lifestyle 38 set in my game room upstairs; with the JBL speakers (in ceiling) inside and the outdoor Yamaha speakers in my backyard, I expend one third of the money I paid for the Bose system.
