Summary: Bought one of these some time ago from an authorized retailer over the internet. The unit is very flexible, powerful, and sound is very clean. As some others have said though, the user interface is not that great. I have been using it in 5.1 with zone 2 and zone 3 (kitchen and deck). I find that occasionally the unit doesn't play back well (skips) in zone 2/3 and I need to power cycle it to clear it up.
Summary: I owned this product for about a week. Had nothing but problems from the very beginning. I am big on buying products on-line. I usually spend a good amount of time reading both professional and customer reviews and try to make a decision based on that. This product came highly recommended from just about everywhere I looked. Seemed like a no-brainer! From the very beginning I found this product to be very confusing.
Summary: Fire the Denon Engineer that was in charge of developing the feature, which is the subject of this rant... It took me about 1.5hrs to get this receiver all set up, with its intricate menus, submenus & even subsubmenus! A SEEMINGLY rewarding feature of this unit is a feature called Quick Select, which SUPPOSEDLY saves a profile, for [up to] 3 different devices/sources.
