Summary: Very good amplifier with a lots of connection available, I love it, yet, I see potential for improvement on 2 points : - be less flexible in the menus (I happened to mess up my signal and ended up with my TV video on the DVD sound,... the menus are so complete that I got lost) - DLNA client... I would love it to be more intuitive, it is a bit too old school.
Summary: I bought one of these 4 years ago and only now really have it humming. There are several bugs in the network/usb operation that Denon never addressed and never came clean on in the official Denon support page. After reading countless audio forums I fixed all the bugs and this unit really lives up to its potential as a knock out home theater hub. Bug #1: The network function locks up after a few hours of operation and gives a "server disconnected" error.
Summary: hi all this item is great i love it in terms of sound quality when playing through the usb it moves to slow in terms of getting to the other track the on screen display is a very nice feature but it seams to flicker and does not work as it should this i think is a big problem for an item that cost this much
Summary: This unit was very easy to set up right out of the box. The audio sound from LPCM Uncompressed, Dolby True HD, or DTS MA HD Blu ray's is amazing. Lot's of power and clean sound. Each channel is easily idenfitied. Very pleased!
Fabulous Sounding Unit - Horrible Software and Documentation

Summary: I have had this unit over a year now and because of its excellent sound quality am very happy with the hardware and with Denons support through frequent firmware updates. Getting the unit set up and learning its quirks is another matter however. First let me state I have over 30 years experience with audio and video and have had it all. There is NO other unit on the market that will provide the sound quality anywhere near this price range.
Great Sound, Lot of options...but a useless remote
13 November 2008
Summary: This is a truly fantastic AV receiver with an awesome amp with the worst remote possible. This is my third Denon amp in 15 years and i must say that this receiver is truly awesome. It has the right combination of power and style. It has all the options you could want not matter how complex your environment is and how you may want to use it. I have an old turntable hooked up as well as a pioneer elite blueray and Kuro plasma.
Summary: While I would give high marks to the receiver itself, it is extremely complex. There's nothing wrong with complexity assuming the instruction manual provides guidance but the instructions that come with the AVR-4308CI are, frankly, abysmal. It is a perplexing dichotomy how a manufacturer can produce such a high quality receiver but package it with a manual that is deficient in every respect.
Denon AVR-4308 improves home theater picture and sound

Summary: I have used the Denon AVR-4308ci receiver for about month now and have been impressed with the improvement of the picture quality produced by my 1080p projector using the HDMI switching compared to my previous component switching in the Denon AVR-5800. The clarity and color improvements are easy to see. Also the 4308ci is one of a very few home theater receivers that has two HDMI outputs so it can support a projector and a flat panel display concurrently.
Summary: Written by Dr.LAL,DALLAS, Tx. The DENON 4308CI is one of the best receivers I've used so far in the past 20 years. Being an audio enthusiast and hobbyist myself, i am an extremely satisfied user of this great product. I believe this is the only receiver which has Satellite radio+HD radio+internet radio in one unit. THe Sound and Vision off this unit is also exceptional. 4 HDMI in and 2 out will handle most of the components.
