Summary: This unit is awesome! I am using Polk Audio Satellites with a 10in subwoofer. I have heard a few people complain about the remote control but honestly I don't know what else it could do. It does everything needed unless they prefer a LCD screen remote. It is not the easiest to set up.It takes a few trial and error speaker adjustments to get that sound you may like.
Summary: I bought this AV receiver to be the centerpiece to my multi-room theater system. I am utilizing all 3 zones but have relied on external amplification for all zones with the exception zone 2. The reason for external amplification is that they are more capable at powering the speakers that I have chosen. I don't expect that many people would need to go this route, however it's great that the amplifier allows for external amplifiers through RCA pre-outs if needed.
Summary: I've had Denon equipment before (AVP 5000) and while the sound is very good it is still a bit short of perfect, the 5000 was just a hair better and more accurate. The power amp section doesn't seem to have the punch and clarity of the POA 5000 (rated at 100w / ch) even though it is supposed to have higher power amplification. The upscaling doesn't appear to make any significant difference on 480 sources (don't have a 4K tv so can't speak to that part of the upscaling).
Summary: I bought my Denon receiver 2 years ago, this is my 3rd Denon receiver. My 1st Denon receiver lasted more than 10 years with no problems at all, I replaced it just to upgrade. My 2nd Denon receiver is still going strong after about 7 years. My latest Denon receiver the AVR 3312C1 has only lasted 2years!!

Summary: Installed my new Denon AVR with new 65" Samsung HD TV, Samsung Blu Ray and speaker switch. COnnections were a breeze with HDMI and I now have superior surround sound and video in my Great Room and can listen to great sound in 4 other rooms in my house. Controls and setup are quite easy.
Summary: I always buy Denon. The reason is that they have a phono input something you don't find in others. The sound is excellent the audissy helps a lot to set it up. And the model was discounted because they have a new one. Who cares.
Summary: I have always had Harmon Kardon or Onkyo, but I decided to try the Denon because it had IP control and would interface with the Roomie Remote Control system that runs off of iOS... I loved the sound and performance out of my previous Harmon Kardon AVR-3600 but it didnt have any networking capability so I bought the Denon about 3 days ago....Needless to say, I am horribly dissapointed in it..
