Summary: I bought the AVR-3310CI via amazon.com in May of 2010. It weighed in less than my AVR-3805's weight. I wondered why. Could it be that the power supply is not as beefy as before? Or could the power amplifiers be the issue? I connected it to my system and was very pleased with the results. I knew about the network card issue, but thought I could tread lightly and get around it.
Summary: I had high expectations for the Denon 3310. However, after setting it up and running the Audyssey process, I was quite disappointed with the sound quality, especially for a Denon. Compared to the Marantz SR5005, which I tested at home prior to the Denon, the 3310 sounded underpowered and thin. Vocals running through the center channel speaker lacked clarity and volume, whereas the Marantz provided a clear and impactful sound.
Summary: I recieved the avr 3310 in great condition installed it and found one flaw. I loved the sound right-way the picture Quality was beautiful. I have setup many Denon recievers and this was easy as allways. I do like the GUI for the avr-3808 and the avr-4310 better than the avr-3310, but the 3310's works fine. The 3310's computer interface was only ok, it tended to lock up.
Summary: I've had my Denon 3310CI AVR for 6 months now and it has been working fine. That is until I did the firmware update. Something has gone wrong with the programming in the system. The main remote does not work as it should and gives unpredictable results. The unit no longer connects to the internet and I can't see any network activity lights at the back of the box.
