Summary: My Denon 3310CI produces excellent sound. It has all the features I need and want. I expecially like its networking capability, which allows me to stream digital music from my computers and take full advantage of Denon's high quality built-in DAC. Unfortunatelly, the network interface card in the 3310CI is not a reliable component. My NIC stopped working just after 2-1/2 years.
Summary: I bought the AVR-3310CI via amazon.com in May of 2010. It weighed in less than my AVR-3805's weight. I wondered why. Could it be that the power supply is not as beefy as before? Or could the power amplifiers be the issue? I connected it to my system and was very pleased with the results. I knew about the network card issue, but thought I could tread lightly and get around it.
Summary: I had high expectations for the Denon 3310. However, after setting it up and running the Audyssey process, I was quite disappointed with the sound quality, especially for a Denon. Compared to the Marantz SR5005, which I tested at home prior to the Denon, the 3310 sounded underpowered and thin. Vocals running through the center channel speaker lacked clarity and volume, whereas the Marantz provided a clear and impactful sound.
Summary: The AVR 3310CI is loaded with nice features. Excellent sound quality, inputs for just about anything, and decent menus for setting up and using the receiver. The amplifiers give a very good quality sound, not as good as my MacIntosch system but not bad for the money. Construction is good and it runs fairly cool being it is in a somewhat enclosed area. Technical support is good in that there is little wait time when calling. Now for the bad.
Summary: Great sound, numerous hookups; includes 7.1 analog EXT connection, which was deleted on the newer 3311ci and which I need for my older SACD player. Had no trouble with networking issues that some have complained about. The 3310 immediately connected to my Windows 7 computer's music library through home network, though the function is very slow and nearly useless with large mp3 collection (150 GB).
Summary: I recieved the avr 3310 in great condition installed it and found one flaw. I loved the sound right-way the picture Quality was beautiful. I have setup many Denon recievers and this was easy as allways. I do like the GUI for the avr-3808 and the avr-4310 better than the avr-3310, but the 3310's works fine. The 3310's computer interface was only ok, it tended to lock up.
Summary: I've had my Denon 3310CI AVR for 6 months now and it has been working fine. That is until I did the firmware update. Something has gone wrong with the programming in the system. The main remote does not work as it should and gives unpredictable results. The unit no longer connects to the internet and I can't see any network activity lights at the back of the box.
