Awesome Receiver IF you can get through the set up!

Summary: Denon's build quality has always been superior to most in my experiences. It's incredible what you get for your money from their products. This receiver puzzled me,aggravated me even with the set-up.
Summary: The sound and video are great and it seems to be a pretty good value. This is of course the most important factor. Various audio sources can be enriched, and video upcoding even of standard DVDs very effectively provides a crisp, rich signal to my 1080i monitor.
Summary: I purchased this receiver to replace an older AVR without the advanced connectivity and processing this unit features. This a very full featured receiver. I selected it over a few competitors (Yamaha, Onkyo) in part based on the strength of its video processing which i have never found uselful on an...
Summary: First, a little background (be patient!): I spent a lot of time auditioning bookshelf speakers. My intention was to slowly build out a full surround system by starting with two solid front speakers for stereo listening.
Summary: The 2808ci was not very user friendly to set up and is limited to 2 HDMI connections. However it is a solid receiver producing great sound output and video upconversion. i would highly recommend any Denon receiver.
Summary: Great receiver and I am happy with the product. I looked at other brands but when it came to delivering sound Denon is by far the best. Summary: This is my third Denon A/V receiver. My first was purchased in 1989 (and still works) and the one I replaced with the 2808CI was 3200AVR that I purchased in 1997. That unit always performed flawlessly and was one of the first generation 5.1 receivers.
Summary: The "CI" in the model number indicates that it is in the "customizable" series. That's good and bad; but definitely something I was looking for. It took quite sometime to figure out how to set this thing up. But, once I did, I love it.
