Summary: This has been the worst reciever I have ever owned. I should have stuck with Pioneer, which is what I am going back to after I use this Denon 2808 for target practice for all the years of aggrivation, wasted time and repeated trips to the repair shop. I thought by spending $1000 on 1/26/08 i would get a quality AV reciever for my home theater. It was exactly the opposite right from the start with the Denon 2808.
Summary: $1200 for 2 HDMI inputs? I don't care how good it sounds or how complete its feature set; a $1200 receiver should have more than 2 HDMI inputs. This is a ridiculously transparent attempt by Denon to move people up to the next price point. Combined with 7 composite/S-video inputs, this is a travesty. Make no mistake; this was a marketing decision, not a technical one, on Denon's part.
