Summary: I have been using my AVR-2312CI for a little over a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As a replacement for my previous Denon AVR-3802 receiver, this component has yielded a substantial improvement in the home theater experience (especially when watching movies, such as the Avengers 3D, that are recorded in 7.1 format). For those primarily interested in home cinema performance, this Denon is absolutely worthy of your consideration.
Summary: I bought this model for use in my home theater. It works very well and produces good clean sound with my system. I wish it had a better android app and support for bluetooth audio as I don't use airplay. However the DLNA capabilities are great, and since I have DLNA services at home serving audio (pictures and video too) I can use an app like bubbleupnp to send any music or playlists off my server directly to the receiver.
Summary: This unit was to replace an AVR-3300 that has been an absolute workhorse for the past 12 years, so it had some big shoes to fill. I must say I'm extremely pleased. Uncompressed HD audio on BluRay discs is phenomenal. I've also noticed an improvement in video processing especially with my XBox360. Set up was quick and painless and the Audyssey auto calibration worked just as advertised. Looks like my AVE disc and RadioShack SPL are no longer needed.
Summary: This my second Denon, my first is 5 years old and has always served me well, so i expect this to be no different. I wanted airplay and multizone capability which is why i went with this unit Positives: -Great sound processing with audssey EQ, really works and helps the sound dynamics of the room. -Incredible sound through my Def Tech speakers -Nice UI, easier than the old one -Great price for features Negatives: -no wifi, I had to run ethernet, drilling holes etc.
Summary: I've had this for about a month now. Positives: Setup: Like most of the other Denons, the setup is very easy. The on screen GUI for this unit is actually slightly better than the one on the 1912 and 2112. The microphone based calibration takes a long time but is easy to do, I used a camera tripod and seven different spots. Speaker setup was also easy enough - I am using the system for 5.1 in the family room and driving 2 speakers in zone 2.
Summary: Just got it for a week. Overall, like it very much. The setup was a great experience - very fancy: speaker locations shown on the TV monitor - a very cool feature. I am still learning other features. However, I am trying to connect the receiver with a digital player- WD player, no image or nothing is being past to the TV monitor. I have made sure the physical connection well (by a HDMI cable), checked the input source etc. No success yet! Do not know why.
Summary: Good product. But, whatch out to Custums fees if you live in Canada... It cost 104$ to me. ................................................................................................................................
Summary: I upgraded my small home theater with this from a Yamaha rx-2700. The sound is a huge upgrade. You'll hear things you never knew were there. There are more than enough hdmi ports, and the form factor is beautiful. The Audessey speaker calibration feature and included mic are absolutely crucial and add a level of satisfaction with the unit that will blow your mind. Just one thing should you choose to order.
Summary: I purchased this Receiver after analyzing a lot of options for some time. At the end, I pulled the trigger and went for this unit, as reviews mentioned it had the best sound available for products in the same price range. Right from the start, the receiver had issues, which was really a bummer for me. The receiver kept locking itself, wouldn't change functions (between Net/USB and BD), Airplay didn't work OK all the time.
